Our Story
2023
VIGO was founded to fix a broken BMS recruitment market replacing guesswork with transparency, specialist focus, and delivery clients could actually rely on. From day one, the goal was simple: do fewer things, properly — and build trust by default.
2023–2024
By staying narrow and relationship-led, VIGO gained access to off-market BMS and Smart Buildings talent — engaging professionals other recruiters couldn’t reach. This validated the need for a more thoughtful, specialist approach to hiring in the sector.
2024
As demand grew, VIGO invested in internal analytics to measure performance daily optimising how searches are run, how candidates are engaged, and how outcomes are delivered. This wasn’t about speed. It was about consistency, quality, and accountability.
2024-2025
VIGO shifted away from generic outreach and invested in personalised, video-led communication allowing for more transparent, human conversations with experienced professionals. This improved response, trust, and long-term relationships across the market.
2025
SmartHire was built as VIGO’s proprietary market intelligence capability giving real visibility into talent locations, movement, and hiring trends. This marked a shift from CV-led recruitment to insight-led decision-making.
2025-2026
VIGO now operates at the intersection of Smart Buildings, BMS, Energy Optimisation, and Data Centres combining specialist recruitment with live market insight. Every search is informed by data, experience, and a clear understanding of the market.
