VIGO is partnering with an established building automation and smart infrastructure business that is expanding its presence within the rapidly growing data center sector. We're looking for a commercially driven sales professional who understands the technical aspects of building automation and enjoys developing long-term relationships on complex, high-value projects.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business investing heavily in the mission-critical market, working alongside industry-leading engineering teams on some of the most advanced facilities in North America.
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, growing existing client relationships, and helping deliver building automation solutions into data center environments across your territory.
Working closely with consultants, contractors, end users and internal technical teams, you'll become a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, from early project engagement through to successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new opportunities within the data center and mission-critical sectors.
Build long-term relationships with end users, consulting engineers, contractors and project stakeholders.
Develop and execute territory growth strategies.
Engage with customers during project planning to position technical solutions early in the design process.
Collaborate with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasting.
Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
We're keen to speak with professionals who have:
A minimum of three years' experience within Building Automation, Building Management Systems, HVAC Controls or a related technical sales environment.
A strong understanding of smart building technologies and control systems.
Experience selling technical solutions into commercial or mission-critical environments.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
A proactive approach to winning new business while managing existing accounts.
The ability to engage confidently with technical and commercial decision-makers.
A genuine interest in emerging technologies and the future of intelligent buildings.
Previous exposure to data center, critical infrastructure or industrial automation projects would be highly advantageous, although candidates with a strong Building Automation background looking to move into this market are encouraged to apply.

Salary between $90,000 and $120,000 depending on experience.
