VIGO is working with a client that’s challenging the status quo in the BMS industry. They’re seeking an experienced and dedicated BMS Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding operations in the North West. The business is at the forefront of energy optimisation and smart building projects, continually pushing boundaries to ensure their clients receive the highest level of service.
Role Overview
In this critical role, you'll be at the heart of delivering top-tier BMS projects, bridging the gap between design, installation, and optimum building performance. Utilising your substantial BMS commissioning experience and comprehensive knowledge of building systems, HVAC principles, and electrical systems, you will be shaping commercial and industrial environments to be highly efficient and intelligent.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering impeccable customer service with satisfaction as a top priority
Conducting comprehensive site inspections to identify opportunities for BMS integration and optimisation
Partnering with project managers and clients to define the scope, objectives, and requirements for BMS installation and commissioning
Developing and executing commissioning plans for BMS projects, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Configuring and programming BMS hardware and software components to enable seamless integration and data exchange
Performing functional testing of BMS systems to validate operation and identify issues
Resolving technical challenges during the commissioning and post-installation phases
Providing technical training and support to clients and end users
Producing comprehensive commissioning documentation
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 3 years of BMS commissioning and troubleshooting experience
Strong command of building systems, HVAC principles, electrical systems, and control strategies
Proficient in BMS components configuration and programming, including sensors, controllers, and software interfaces
Familiarity with BMS communication protocols - BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks
Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities
Detailed and organised approach to project management
Openness to collaboration and a solid team-player mentality
Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, sustainability standards, and UK regulatory requirements would be advantageous
Full UK driving licence
