VIGO is hiring on behalf of an award-winning Smart Buildings and Energy Optimisation specialist. We are looking for an experienced BMS Service Engineer who relishes in providing high-quality planned and reactive maintenance, and taking ownership of site performance. Role Overview As a Senior BMS Service Engineer, you will be charged with the routine service and maintenance of BMS across a diversified portfolio of sites. Your core tasks will center on executing PPMs, identifying and rectifying faults, undertaking small improvement works, and optimising system performance to ensure each site stays optimal, energy-efficient, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
-Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPMs) across multiple BMS sites-Provide reactive fault finding and repair services, ensuring minimal downtime -Work on BMS platforms including Tridium Niagara, Trend, and Schneider-Diagnose and rectify a wide range of system, software, controller, and network faults -Undertake minor upgrades, modifications, and remedial works-Efficiently produce clear service reports, PPM documentation, and handover notes -Maintain effective communication with site teams and clients to explain issues and resolutions-Support the out-of-hours call-out rota as needed -Attend product, manufacturer, and BCIA training to stay abreast of industry developments
The Ideal Candidate
-Has at least 5 years of experience in a BMS Service Engineer role -Is skilled in delivering PPMs and reactive maintenance -Has hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara, Trend or Schneider systems -Comfortable working independently in a field-based service role -Exhibits methodical fault finding and problem solving-Communicates strongly with clients and site staff-Possesses a full UK driving license
